13. Everest is not the highest mountain on the planet.

Of course, Everest is the highest mountain in the world if you count from sea level — it’s 29,029 ft. But if you count from the bottom of the ocean, then the highest peak in the world is actually Mauna Kenain Hawaii. It is 13,803 ft above sea level and 33,474 ft below sea level.
